Here’s your chance to own a one-of-a-kind Sunroof Vanagon Syncro: a 1991 2.1 WBX triple knob with rare and sought-after specs. The technique has undergone a comprehensive overhaul after the car was sitting for 8 years and is now in nice running condition and ready to hit the road.
Key Features & History:
Working dual diff-locks with decoupler (triple knob), high-end configuration ordered by a Porsche dealership for client and partner transport – unique and not commonly seen in other vans. Original build: no off-road abuse so far, just a high-spec van used for client pick-ups and partner transport, last but not least the big sunroof. Comes with valid German TÜV and classic car registration. If you know the TÜV, you know – this thing had to be in great shape to pass.
Overhaul Details (Everything Done!):
Engine: New cylinder heads, fully resealed engine with new sensors, complete new exhaust system. Transmission overhauled 60k miles ago, with longer 4th and oil cooling plates, so its also ready for a potentially engine swap to a subaru or tdi. Shifts and runs beautifully without noises. New clutch, driveshaft boots, and fully serviced new brakes. Radiator, thermostat, and cooling system fully checked and bled. New Bosch fuel pump, fuel tank serviced with new valves and cleaned, new fuel lines of course. New front windshield with original glass antenna. New shocks, new engine mount and bar, vacuum locker switch system overhauled, all locks are working, new rear wheel bearings and more.
Interior & Comfort: Electric windows & mirrors, power steering, central locking, sliding/vent windows, rock and roll bed, extra bench, pilot seats, leather dash, big rock and roll bed and more – all in working order for maximum comfort. The interior and exterior are in exceptional original condition. The sunroof works, opens and closes perfectly.
